About the Event
Spend time retreating in a welcoming and relaxing space, give your self the time to rest for the day.
The day will start with introductions and a centering Meditation to help you feel rested in your space. You will then be guided through a sequence of relaxing yoga movements to align you with your core, leaving you feeling ready for inviting in some much-needed rejuvenation to your body. Refreshments will be available during the next stage of your day, hot soup and fresh breads, herbal teas and refreshing juices for you to choose from and finishing with some fresh fruit. You will then be taken on a journey of deep relaxation with an hour session of Yoga Nidra, and an hour Sound Meditation and Gong Bath using a gong, crystal bowls, Tibetan bowl, and chimes. All of the instruments used will be chosen to fit with what the day retreat brings and collectively we will enter into a state of deep relaxation, releasing any negative energy that no longer serves you, making space for the wonderful energising energy that a gong bath brings forward for you to take.
After a break, we will finish by using a Selenite crystal to ignite the renewed energy in your system. You will leave Essential Space feeling lighter and brighter, relaxed and refreshed!
A bit about us...
Yoga has been part of Diane’s life for around thirty years now. Diane holds teaching qualifications in Advanced Hatha yoga, Starchild Kundalini yoga for children and young people, and is a Kundalini Tantra yoga teacher. In her classes, she loves to combine breathing, movement, meditation, a spirit of playfulness and a dose of inspiration to help you develop your practice.
Sound can support your mind and body to find its balance, Sarah is a natural healer, and feels deeply connected to this ancient healing modality of Sound Healing and passing it on to others. Sarah is a qualified sound and mindfulness therapist and offers both 1-1 treatments and workshops, holding a space where nothing is expected of you, giving you time to yourself and space to enjoy the moments that follow during the sound bath at ease.
Why use Nidra and Sound Healing together?
Both of these meditative techniques support reducing stress and anxiety in the body, aiding better and deeper sleep and help to rebuild and heal neuro pathways that have been damaged during episodes of chronic pain, trauma and stress. Each complementing the other to enable the body to find its natural balance.
Diane will facilitate the Yoga movement session and the Guided Yoga Nidra, Sarah will talk you through a Meditation and bring the sound bath seamlessly to you, taking your relaxation to a deeper level. The instruments used during a sound bath are very unique, they are attuned to assist your mind to open and you're to body relax as they take you on a journey, surrounding you with vibration and sound, leaving you with rejuvenating energy like no other.
